Our Philosophy

The result of true karate is natural, effortless action, and the confidence, humility, openness and peace only possible through perfect unity of mind and body. This is the core teaching of Zen, the basis of Bushido, and our philosophy.

Karate is not a game of points, weight classes or showy demonstrations. It is a martial art and way of life that trains a practitioner to be peaceful.

Karate can be practiced as an art, self defense or as a combat sport. Traditional karate places emphasis on self-development.

People About Us
My daughter Daniella was part of the Kenwyn Martina Arts Center for several wonderful years, and she loved every moment of her training. Sensei Kamal is truly amazing with children, helping them develop their skills and confidence. Unfortunately, we had to leave the club due to a relocation to another country; otherwise, we would have continued our journey there. I highly recommend this center for anyone, young or old, interested in learning karate!

Sensei Kamal is especially good with training and mentoring children. I highly recommend this dojo. Many interesting activities including organizing visits to Okinawa.
